Early detection of delamination is essential if further damage is to be prevented. Here we demonstrate the use of a chain to detect problem areas. Please ensure your volume is turned up in order to fully appreciate the effectiveness of this survey.
The Chain is dragged across the surface of the floor and any areas of delamination are immediately noticeable due to the distinct hollow sound the chain makes when passing over the damaged section.
Areas can be covered quickly and the test is non-destructive which means it is an extremely cost-effective method of surveying large structures.
